This tool is turned from steel stock which features a step and the correct O. D. to install and remove 5 16" 8mm valve guides. We use to sell an all alloy drift tool (usually red color) but found that the alloy tool was binding and causing unwanted problems when removing and installing valve guides! We have switched to this tool with 0 problems
